I took my Tahoe in March 20th. March 29th I received text/email to approve the estimate order which should take 2 hours (according to the estimate). I called April 7th to see what the status was on my Tahoe, the lady that answered said they were waiting on the approval of the estimate - told her I already submitted it. She says oh I see, let me go see what is going on. She comes back, says the one that is in charge of my claim is not there and wouldnt be back until April 10th. I call back on April 10th around 3pm, same lady answers, then tells me the one that is handling my claim no longer works there, and the manager will give me a call. (same incident happened with my other vehicles - took 3 weeks for a tire replacement - same excuse - the one handling the case no longer works there). I wait to hear from the manager - nothing. Call again on April 11th around 3pm to check the status on my vehicle - genleman says that mechanic needs an additional 4 hours to check to see what is wrong and needs approval to go farther into the transmission. I give approval after I ask questions as to why I am barely hearing about this and that the manager never called me to let me knw what is going on. Got a call ON April 14th from the same gentelman and says he has good news that the transmission mechanic was on vacation but is back now and was able to let me know he didnt need the additional 4 hours (total of 6 hours approved so far - 2 hrs from the text, and 4 hrs from the phone call). The transmission mechanic said he could fix the issue in 4.5 hrs. Said it would be ready by April 18th for sure (It was ready on April 17th). I would have been fine that my Tahoe would have been ready by April 18th IF someone would have communicated with me on what was going on. If the mechanic was indeed on vacation - say that. If the one looking over the claim no longer works that - say that. IF the manager says he is going to call - then call. Its simple communcation that needs to be relayed for piece of mind!
